I try to print multiple pages on my HP 2852e printer, which I connect via USB cable to my HP Chromebook and desktop computers. The first page prints normally, but the printing stops, and an orange light flashes on the printer control panel. I must press the symbol on that panel to continue the process of printing more pages.

When your HP printer stops after printing the first page of a multi-page document, and the orange light flashes, it usually indicates an error or warning that needs to be addressed. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:
Check Ink or Toner Levels:
- Ensure that your printer has sufficient ink or toner. Low levels can sometimes cause the printer to pause unexpectedly.
Clear Paper Jams:
- Check for any paper jams in the printer. Open all accessible panels and gently remove any jammed paper.
Printer Reset:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 1-2 minutes before plugging it back in and turning it on again.
Check Printer Settings:
- On your Chromebook or desktop, ensure that the print settings are correct. Uncheck any unnecessary print options that might cause delays.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Make sure you are using the latest printer drivers. Visit the HP support site to download and install any updates: HP Support Drivers.
USB Connection:
- Ensure that the USB cable is connected securely to both the printer and your computer. Try using a different USB port or cable if possible.
Printer Queue:
- Check the printer queue for any pending jobs that might be causing a hold-up. Clear the queue and try printing again.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
