Hi @BD1938 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand the error code 0X6201922A on your HP ENVY Photo 6255 indicates a problem with the printer's hardware or firmware.
Here’s a step-by-step approach to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:
1. Check for Paper Jams
- Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the paper path. Open all accessible trays and compartments to check for jammed paper.
2. Check Ink Cartridges
- Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed and have enough ink. Remove and reinsert the cartridges to ensure a good connection.
3. Clean Printhead
- Access the printhead area and clean it gently. Follow the instructions in your printer’s manual for cleaning the printhead.
4. Update Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Updating the firmware can resolve various issues. You can find firmware updates on the HP support website.
5. Restart Printer
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
6. Reset Printer to Factory Settings
- If the above steps don’t work, consider resetting the printer to its factory settings. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
7. Check for Software Updates: Software and Drivers for HP ENVY Photo 6255 All-in-One Printer
- Ensure that the HP Smart app or any other software you use with your printer is up to date.
Refer to this document: HP ENVY Photo 6255 All-in-One Printer User manual
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
