Hi @Squeaky86,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your printer is caught in a loop, repeatedly printing the same picture. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help resolve the issue:

1. Cancel the Print Job::

  • Windows: Go to the Control Panel > Devices and Printers. Find your printer, right-click, and select "See what's printing." From the print queue, cancel the print job.
  • Mac: Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners. Select your printer, and open the print queue. Cancel the print job from there.
  • Many printers have a cancel button or option on the display panel. Use it to cancel any ongoing print jobs.

2. Check Print Queue:

  • Ensure that all jobs in the print queue are cleared. Sometimes, jobs can get stuck and continue to print.
  • Turn off the printer, wait for a minute, and then turn it back on. This can sometimes reset any stuck jobs.

3. Check Printer Settings:

  • Ensure that you have selected the correct settings for your print job. Verify that the print job is set to print only one copy.
  • Sometimes, default settings can cause repeated printing. Check and adjust these settings to ensure they are appropriate for your needs.

4. Check for Software Issues:

  • Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause printing issues. Visit the manufacturer’s website to download and install the latest drivers for your printer model.
  • Sometimes, simply restarting both the computer and printer can resolve software glitches.

5. Inspect Printer Software:

  • If you’re using a printer application or utility, check its settings. Ensure it’s not configured to print multiple copies or repeat jobs.
  • Uninstall the printer software from your computer and then reinstall it. This can help if the software has become corrupted.

6. Check for Paper and Ink Issues:

  • Ensure there is no paper jam or misfeed that could be causing repeated printing.
  • Verify that the ink cartridges are installed correctly and not causing any errors.

7. Perform a Printer Reset:

  • If all else fails, you might need to perform a factory reset on the printer. Refer to the printer’s manual or manufacturer’s website for instructions on how to reset your specific model

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
