Hi @Alishiraz,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When your HP printer is stuck on "printing" and not progressing, it can be frustrating. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the issue.
Check Printer Status:
- Make sure the printer is powered on and connected to your computer or network.
- Check for any error messages or blinking lights on the printer's display.
Cancel the Print Job:
- Go to your computer's Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on your printer and select See what's printing.
- In the print queue window, right-click on the stuck print job and select Cancel.
Restart Printer and Computer:
- Turn off your printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.
- Restart your computer to refresh the connection.
Clear Print Queue:
- After restarting, check if any print jobs are still in the queue. If so, cancel them again.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. You can do this through the HP website or by using the HP Smart app.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Open the printer and check for any paper jams or obstructions. Remove any stuck paper carefully.
Run the Printer Troubleshooter:
- On Windows, go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Printer and run the troubleshooter.
Reset the Printer:
- If the above steps don't work, you might want to perform a factory reset on the printer. Refer to the user manual for specific instructions on how to do this.
Try a Different Connection:
- If you're using a USB connection, try a different USB port or cable. If connected via Wi-Fi, ensure that the printer is still connected to the same network as your computer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
