HP LaserJet M110we Printer

Every document I try to print becomes envelope size. If I send the pdf to my family members, they can print normally. Maybe I need to uninstall my ap and reinstall. How to do that or is there another fix? This is really frustrating.

If every document you try to print on your HP LaserJet M110we Printer defaults to an envelope size, but others can print normally from the same PDF, there might be an issue with your printer settings or drivers. Here are steps to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

 

Step 1: Check Printer Settings

Default Paper Size:

  • Go to your printer settings on your computer.
  • Ensure that the default paper size is set to the correct size (e.g., A4, Letter).
  • Open "Control Panel" > "Devices and Printers."
  • Right-click your HP LaserJet M110we Printer and select "Printing Preferences."
  • Check the paper size and ensure it is set correctly.
  • Go to "System Preferences" > "Printers & Scanners."
  • Select your HP LaserJet M110we Printer and click "Options & Supplies."
  • Check the default paper size under "Options."

Application Print Settings:

  • When printing a document, make sure the print settings in the application (e.g., Adobe Acrobat for PDFs) are set to the correct paper size.
  • In the print dialog box, ensure the paper size is not set to "Envelope" or any other incorrect size.

Step 2: Update Printer Drivers

Uninstall Old Drivers:

  • Open "Device Manager" on your computer.
  • Find your HP LaserJet M110we Printer under "Printers" or "Print queues."
  • Right-click and select "Uninstall device."

Download and Install Latest Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website.
  • Search for your HP LaserJet M110we Printer and download the latest drivers and software.
  • Install the downloaded drivers and software.

Step 3: Reinstall HP Smart App (if applicable)

Uninstall HP Smart App:

On Windows, go to "Settings" > "Apps" > "Apps & features."

Find the HP Smart app, click on it, and select "Uninstall."

On Mac, drag the HP Smart app to the Trash.

 

Reinstall HP Smart App:

  • Download the latest version of the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store (for Windows) or Mac App Store (for Mac).
  • Install and set up the app again.

Step 4: Clear Print Queue

  1. Clear Print Queue:
    • Open "Control Panel" > "Devices and Printers."
    • Right-click your HP LaserJet M110we Printer and select "See what's printing."
    • Cancel all documents in the print queue.

Step 5: Reset Printer to Factory Settings

  1. Reset Printer:
    • Turn off the printer.
    • Press and hold the "Resume" button (usually a paper icon) while turning the printer back on.
    • Release the button after 10-20 seconds or when the printer's lights start flashing.

Step 6: Print a Test Page

  1. Print a Test Page:
    • Go to "Control Panel" > "Devices and Printers."
    • Right-click your HP LaserJet M110we Printer and select "Printer properties."
    • Click on "Print Test Page" to check if the issue is resolved.

Step 7: Check for Firmware Updates

  1. Update Firmware:
    • Use the HP Smart app or visit the HP Support website to check for firmware updates for your printer.
    • Follow the instructions to update the firmware if an update is available.
