Printer unable to print in colour off of word or safari

Recently I have defaulted my setting setup on this printer and since then every single print out off of word or directly off safari is printed in black and white no matter whether i select the black and white feature or not. I am not able to print in colour off of my printer and I need help in resolving this issue.

I understand you are unable to print in color in word or in safari browser from your printer.

Don't worry I'd love to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Are you able to make a color copy from your printer?

Please try resetting the print system and check if it helps.

Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences.
Click Printers & Scanners, Print & Scan, or Print & Fax.
Right-click (or Control + click) anywhere inside the Printers window, and then click Reset printing system.
Click Reset or OK.
If prompted, type your username and password, and then click OK.
The printing system resets.
Turn off the printer, wait 5 seconds, and then turn on the printer.
Wait until the printer is idle and silent.
In the Printers window on the Mac, click the Add button.
Select your printer from the list, and then click Add.
It might take a few seconds before your printer displays in the Printers list.

I had a similar problem, just wouldn't print color no matter what I was trying to print or browser I was using. I followed the steps and it workked!! I use an HP Deskjet 2652 with an Mac Mini (2012), El Capitan 10.11.6
