My printer will not work with new iMac (but didnt work with old one either in recent months) The diagnostic test works fine. New ink cartridges installed today. New driver loaded from web site today. Reset printing in "system printers." in printing an email for example, it will print only the top address lines, but not the body of the message. Prints images and photos (they look weird) but will not print any documents whether created in Word or Pages. Help.

Greetings @OMK70,
Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.
I understand that your printer does not print a full page when you try to print from your MAC, is that right?
Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.
Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.
Do you face this issue with you make a copy as well?
How is the printer connected to your computer? USB or wireless.
Request you refer to this HP Article and set the print quality to best and check if the printer prints fine.
If the printer prints fine. Perform a cleaning on the printhead.
Refer to this HP Article for assistance. Step 10.
If you have setup the printer over wireless, follow the procedure mentioned below to assign a manual IP Address and check if it helps.
- Obtain the IP address of the printer (which can found by pressing the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel)
- Enter the IP address on the web browser (Ex: chrome, IE) to enter the printer EWS page.
- Go to the “Network” tab, click on “Wireless (802.11) then click on “Network address (IPV4)
- Click on the radio button which says “Manual IP” and then click “Suggest a manual IP address” to give a manual IP address to your printer.
Let me know if this helped.

Thanks for your response! I actually did most of the steps listed in the article -- cleaned print heads, etc - uninstalled printer and reinstalled drivers from website and the printer is now working fine. I appreciate the resources you pointed me to and think they would have done the trick, but all is well.
