Printer will not print on heavy paper (cardstock) anymore. Using Avery 3379 notecards and it will print only half of the card on the left card and the other half on the right card if that makes any sense. Anyway, neither card is usable and I'm wasting all these notecards trying to get it to work. It will print on plain copy paper but not the thicker paper. It's worked fine for years until now.

Yes, printer should be able to print this card type.
Yes, makes sense - "cards" are a weird bird - when they don't work as expected, they can do all sorts of things.
What is wrong?
- Could be "worn" rollers - for which there is no reasonable solution (hardware).
- Could be the printer is dirty and needs a good cleaning - reasonable if you have had the printer since (for example) 2019.
- Could be you missed the paper type setting (set type to Brochure matte).
- Paper might be too damp / too dry (yes, that is a "thing").
- Software might be corrupted and would benefit from being reloaded "Uninstall > Restart > Install"
and
- There is no customer solution to worn hardware - the unit is not meant to be serviced "in the field". Yes, the printer is a "top of class" and would normally last longer than three years. That said, if you have been printing heavy cards on it every day for that entire time, the printer might be showing signs of "wear and tear".
- There is a solution to "dirt" - I've had to open and clean, clean my OfficeJet Pro 9025 a couple of times so far (purchased new in 2019). IF you have not done so, open up and clean the printer (again).
- There is no reason to think you missed the setting - especially if you are using a Custom Shortcut for the setup. you might want to double-check; leaving the Preferences set incorrectly can definitely affect the outcome.
- If the humidity has changed significantly in your storage area, the character of the paper itself might be affected. Check the humidity in the room - or move the paper to another storage location for a day and see if that helps.
- Reloading the driver will help if the issue is actually software... Remove / Reload the full driver printer software. I can provide a how-to if you need help to do this... Try printing again after the software is refreshed.
