I have a officejet pro 9200 series and it will only print a test page but nothing else. It will also print from my phone but when I try to print from my laptop nothing happens and it doesn’t even show up in the print Queue. I have windows 11 and mcafee not sure if any of that helps. I have restarted my computer and printer uninstalled printer reinstalled printer and can not get it to print.

@cmcjan6, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Based on your description, it seems that your Officejet Pro 9200 series printer faces issues when printing from your laptop, but prints successfully from other devices. Here is a step-by-step guide to address the printing problems:
Check Printer Connectivity
- Verify Connection: Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your laptop.
- Restart Devices: Restart your printer, laptop, and router in case of network issues.
Update Printer Drivers
- Go to Device Manager: Open 'Device Manager' on your laptop.
- Update Driver: Expand 'Printers' section, right-click your Officejet Pro 9200 series, and select 'Update driver.'
Disable Firewall/Antivirus Temporarily
- Disable McAfee: Sometimes, antivirus software can block printer communication. Temporarily disable McAfee and try printing again.
Set Printer as Default
- Open Control Panel: Navigate to 'Control Panel' > 'Devices and Printers.'
- Set as Default: Right-click on your Officejet Pro 9200 series printer and select 'Set as default printer.'
Clear Print Queue
- Open Print Queue: Go to 'Control Panel' > 'Devices and Printers,' right-click your printer, and select 'See what's printing.'
- Cancel Jobs: Clear any stuck print jobs by selecting 'Cancel all documents.'
Use HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download Tool: HP Print and Scan Doctor can diagnose and fix printing issues automatically.
- Run Tool: Launch the tool and follow the instructions for troubleshooting.
Reinstall Printer
- Remove Printer: Go to 'Control Panel' > 'Devices and Printers,' right-click your printer, and select 'Remove device.'
- Reinstall Printer: Reinstall the printer software and drivers using the HP website.
I hope this helps.
