HP DeskJet 2742e All-in-One Printer

I have the HP DeskJet 2742e and I can't get the print job to go through. It starts to feed my paper and then stops halfway through. You can hear it printing, but nothing is going on to the paper, because the paper doesn't fee all the way through. Please help. We have taken it apart and cleaning the paper roller. Thanks.

Hi @Briggsmama,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I understand how frustrating it must be to deal with paper-feeding issues, especially after cleaning the rollers. Let's work together to get this resolved so you can start printing again.

  • Did the paper feeding issue start suddenly, or has it been happening for a while?
  • After cleaning the rollers, did you notice any improvements, or does the issue persist?
  • Is the paper properly aligned and loaded in the tray, with no obstructions?

Perform the steps from this document and see if that helps.

Also, try updating the firmware. Click here

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
