Great machine, when it works.
Printer locks up in the “start” process once it is powered on. Had not been used in a while, and of course, the warranty has expired. Screen on printer quickly goes to the HP logo and the bar below it quickly goes from gray to blue, and only one of the 7 circles below the bar changes from white to blue. None of the icons beside the screen (“home”, “wireless”, etc.) lights up.
The printer also isn’t listed or discoverable on my laptop anymore, even when connected via cable. I’ve tried disconnecting, and unplugging the power (then holding the power button to drain any remaining power) with no results.
Has anyone seen this? Can this be fixed?

Follow the Steps:
Step 1: Disconnect the printer from its power supply.
Step 2: Hold the power button for 30 seconds.
Step 3: Connect the printer to its power supply. Do this before connecting the printer to your computer.
This May Work,
Peter

I tried that HP-prescribed recommendation, as mentioned, but it didn’t change anything.
i went through the prompts that appear on my laptop until I get to “press ‘ok’ on the Home Screen”. But the printer screen does not get past the HP logo, bar and dots; there is no “ok” option on the screen.
