Thank you for being a part of HP Forums.
It'll be an honor to guide you through the steps needed to fix your concern or address your query 😉
As I understand the printer isn't connecting to the internet since the last power outage,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Have you attempted to perform a hard reset to fix the issue?
- Did you remove/delete the printer and add it using the AirPrint driver?
While you respond to that, here's what you need to do:
(Steps to perform a hard reset, mentioned below)
-
Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
-
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
-
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
-
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
-
Wait at least 60 seconds.
-
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE:
HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
-
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
-
Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
-
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Try to print. If the issue persists, continue to the next step.
Check the printing requirements:
Make sure your printer and Apple iOS device meet the following requirements to print with AirPrint.
-
iOS 4.2 or later running on the Apple iOS device
-
An HP printer that supports AirPrint
HP wireless printers released in 2010 and later support AirPrint. For detailed information about which HP printers support AirPrint, go to Mobile Printing Solutions Compatible with HP Printers.
-
A connection to the printer
Your printer and the Apple iOS device must be on the same local network or your printer must support Wi-Fi Direct or HP wireless direct.
Try to print. If a No AirPrint printers found message displays, continue to the next step to connect the printer.
- Make sure your Mac is connected to the Internet.
- In the Printers list, click your HP printer, and then click the Minus button to delete it.
- Click the Add button.
- Find and select the name of your printer from the Printer list, and then click Add to add your printer. Do not select an HP Fax driver.
NOTE:
If your printer does not display in the list, make sure the printer is connected, turned on, has power, and is ready to print. - Click Print Using or Use.
- Select AirPrint.
-
Try printing again.
If the printer prints, you can stop troubleshooting.
If the printer remains offline or displays an error, continue to the next step.
