I often create envelopes using Print Shop, with text and images on the envelope. My old Canon printer had no issues with that, but this HP Envy I just bought will not print the envelopes. No matter what options I choose, it insists that the paper size is incorrect, and the print job will be cancelled. Is there any way around this?
The printer will print envelopes from Wordpad, but wordpad is not text & image friendly, and definitely not my go-to for any creative work!
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for replying!
Refer to the link Product Specifications for the HP ENVY Photo 7855 All-in-One Printer to learn about the supported paper type and size. To understand the printing of envelopes from windows PC, refer to the document HP Printers - Printing Envelopes (Windows)
I would also recommend you delete the driver and root level and retry, follow the steps below:
1) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2) Select your HP Printer
3) Select Uninstall
4) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe”
😎 Click on the “Drivers” tab
9) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10) Select Ok
11) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12) Close Devices and Printers.
Now, download and install the full-featured software from here.
Additionally, Update the printer firmware
Download available firmware updates from the HP website
With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates.
For more information, go to Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi
Okay, I did everything you listed, uninstalled everything and reinstalled. I tried the link to 'HP Customer Support' two days in a row and got a Sorry message, not available.
Anyway, I still couldn't get the printer to print the envelope I created in Print Shop. I selected #10 envelope in the print menu and also manually changed the paper type to envelope, on the display screen on the printer.
I kept getting the message "The paper size detected by the printer is smaller than the paper size selected for the print job."
And then it cancels the print job and spits the envelope out.
Somehow, at one point, it DID print the envelope, but oddly, it had a "7" printed in the middle of the envelope.
I even tried printing from my laptop which has Windows 10 on it and a newer version of The Print Shop, but it still won't print the envelope.
It WILL print if I use a different app, like wordpad or wordperfect, but neither of those apps will allow me to place the text and the graphic together to create the return address I want on the envelope.

This might require remote access of the computer to fix the issue.
I request you to talk to HP support.
They might have multiple options to help you with this.
- Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
- Select the country.
- Enter the serial of your device.
- Select the country from the drop-down.
- Click on "Show Options".
- Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
Cheers.
