I have an HP Envy 4500 e-All-in-One Series printer. (It is less than two years old.) It just stopped printing yellow. My ink levels were a little low, so I changed the ink cartridges to brand new (color and black). It still won't print yellow. I've done a printhead clean. The page it prints does not have yellow. What would cause this in a printer that is not used very often and only about 1 1/2 years old?

This issue could occur if the electrical contacts on the cartridge or the printer are not working.

I had tried all these solutions (except replacing printheads) prior to posting my question. (I saw these "solutions" where others had the same problem.) I went shopping for a new printer today and was told by a sales person that HP printers are notorious for the printheads going bad. With this printer not being very old, guess I'll be looking at a different brand than HP this time around. Thank you for your response.
