HP Pagewide pro MFP477DW
Can anyone help please??!

I recently just bought a HP Pagewide pro MFP477DW printer. I connected it for the first time tonight and was going through the printer set up. It asked for my Wi-Fi code so I left the room for less than a minute to get the password, when I returned the printer was turned off and now it won't start. The on/off button lights orange if I press it but it won't turn on at all. Iv tried disconnecting it from the mains and changing the cable but nothing is working.

It's brand new so really not sure why it won't turn on.

All help would be really appreciated

From your message, I'm not sure if you tried unplugging the power.  If not, unplug the power cord from the printer and leave it unplugged for at least five minutes.  Then try plugging it in and powering it up.

Also, please check and make sure that all access doors are closed and trays inserted.

If is still doesn't turn on, I would return it for a replacement.

A couple of other ideas:

Check to make sure that the power you are connecting is ok (maybe try plugging into another wall plug).

If you are using a power strip - bypass it and plug directly into the wall plug.
