Hello, everyone, I own this printer brand new from June this year.
Everyhing was working fine with it until maybe I have moved it physically to another place, but still connected with the same PC.
By the way the PC Is also HP (All-In-One) and running Microsoft Windows 10 1909 64 bit
I know it is outdated already, but it was working with it until recently. I also tried the printer on another Windows machine(newer Windows 10), with it also was not printing.
When I press both the copy color and copy b/w buttons it prints a test page, it DOES copy in color, it DOES scan, but it does NOT print documents from the PC.
The spooling service is working... cleaned its files but nothing... ( %WINDIR%\system32\spool\printers )
I used the printer by installing the driver manually from here: https://www.drvhub.net/devices/printers/hp/dj-2300-series-pcl-3
I have color ink (black and white cartidge is not inserted), paper, power, USB cable connection and all.
The printing queue shows "spooling" , then "printing" and finally "deleting", but nothing phisycal actually happens. No error messages or dialog windows.
I also tried many things, including:
- Updating the device firmware (just now)...
- Reinstalling the device with different drivers several times
- Unplugging and plugging again the cable
- Restarting the printer
- Installing the official HP packages ( https://support.hp.com/emea_middle_east-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-deskjet-2300-all-in-one-printer-se... )

@InfiniteFreeman, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand you are not able to print from the computer. To assist you better, how is the printer connected?
Are you using a USB cable or wireless?
If wireless, it has to be reconnected to the new wireless nettwork.
Refer to - Connecting an HP Printer Using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)
Use the HP Smart app to print and scan from your Win 10 PC
Click here to download and know more about the app.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hello again and Thanks for the reply.
I use USB Cable, the printer does not have Wi-Fi functionality.
I have already installed the HP Smart App, the printer scans and copies, but does not print.
The USB Cable seems to be working properly, as all the printer ifnormation is visible, and as I said - the scanning is working.

Try making a standalone copy in color from the flatbed glass and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
Are you trying to print a color or a black and white document?
Have you tried inserting the black ink cartridge and then print?
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue
Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.
If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
Click here to download the HP Full-feature driver. (unplug the USB cable, connect it when prompted)
Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.
Let me know how it goes.

I was trying to print a color document, but I also tried in black and white now. Still doesn't work.
When I try to do a copy of a document from the scanning glass - it works fine.
By the way I inserted a black cartridge, but it is empty (the one that says "setupd cartridge" on it) and there is no change.
(I do not have other catridges)
Print and Scan doctor does not find any issues.
I Reinstalled the HP Full-feature driver as instructed. Still the same.
I also used the Virtual HP chat agent and it mentioned this:
NOTE: Long USB cables can adversely affect performance. Verify that the cable does not exceed 1.8 meters (6 feet) in length.
My USB Cable is really long - 2.5 meters (on purpose) but maybe this is not the reason for my problem. Again, I don't have another cable to try.
Another thing to metnion is that my warranty from HP is expired, although I own the device only for several months.
I must have 1 year warranty from the local reseller, but I can't find the document for now... most likely I will contact them on Monday.

Yes, the printer comes with 1 year of warranty. if you find the proof of purchase, you may submit a dispute about the warranty here.
If you are able to make copies, it means the printer hardware is working fine.
Install the printer using Windows built-in driver
Refer to this document to know how. Try printing.
Let me know how it goes.

As soon as I connect the printer to the PC, it adds itself to the printers list.
By the way I have Windows update disabled, so I think that my computer may not be able to obtain drivers or driver updates from there.
My suggestion is that something on the printer is going wrong, not on the PC.
I hope the reseller can send me an invoice about the purchase. It's an online store.
I think that they also can cover the costs of the possible repair. (Merchant warranty - without the official HP warranty status)

If the built-in driver does not help, I think this issue needs some additional technical assistance that can be better provided through one-on-one interaction or a remote session with our HP Support team.
Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region for further assistance.
You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.

The printer works, today I have bought another USB cable (1,5 m length), but it works with both the old long cable and the new one. (I was advised by HP authorised service to find a new, shorter USB cable.)
Printer works, but with another Windows 10 computer, a newer version (installed on old Lenovo T61 laptop)...
Still not working on my All-In-One HP Personal computer...
I uninstalled the HP drivers from the printui /s /t2 command from the Run dialog box... tried also removing the drivers at the ned of the diagnostics in HP Print and Scan Doctor.
After the PC was restarted , I installed DJ2300_Full_WebPack_51.1.4707.exe , but nothing... HPEasyStart_13_0_6.exe is stucking at "Checking the hardware needs" screen.
I don't know if remote assistance session is available in my country (Bulgaria) ?
I have TeamViewer installed and I am willing to provide the details to a real HP employee to help me.
I would really appreciate any help.
