Hello. I have a problem with my HP LaserJet M211dw client. When turned on, the motor spins and lights up white, after a while it lights up orange and blinks. I would appreciate any advice.

Hi @Bodj,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP LaserJet M211dw is encountering an error. The blinking orange light typically indicates a problem with the printer, such as a paper jam, low toner, or a connectivity issue. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Check for Paper Jams: Open the printer and check for any paper that might be stuck inside. Remove any jammed paper carefully.
  • Inspect Toner Cartridge: Make sure the toner cartridge is properly installed and not empty. If you have a spare toner cartridge, you can try replacing it to see if that resolves the issue.
  • Check Connectivity: Ensure that the printer is connected to your network properly if it's a network printer. If it’s connected via USB, try using a different USB port or cable.
  • Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Firmware Update: Check if there’s a firmware update available for your printer. You can usually find this on the HP support website.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
