Product: HP Officejet Pro 8610
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have to replace my Officejet Pro 8610 printer.  Are there any current HP models that will use the same ink cartridges 950xl/950?  I have at least $200 in unused cartridges.

You will hardly find a brand new printer that can use those inks, new printer models that have replaced OJ 86XX series use different inks.

I was doing the same thing after I got the  message on the printhead as i was hoping to cut my losses by being able to use the ridiculously expensive brand new ink, but looks like I am doubly SOL.  Love that it tells you about the printhead issue only after I installed the new ink cartridge!!
