I got a used Officjet 7510 and it has an issue with the printhead. I pulled the printhead out and tried to clean it, but it looked very clean and barely used. I bought a new printhead, installed it, and now it says that the cartridge carriage can't move (error 0x610000f6). If someone has some insight on this, I would appreciate it!

Hi @RhettBman,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
The error 0x610000f6 on your HP OfficeJet 7510 typically indicates a carriage jam or mechanical failure, especially after replacing the printhead.
Please try the Recommended Troubleshooting Steps:
- Full Power Reset
- Turn the printer on.
- Unplug the power cord without turning it off.
- Disconnect any USB/Ethernet cables.
- Wait 2–5 minutes.
- Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
- Check for Obstructions
- Open the ink cartridge access door.
- Look for paper jams, foreign objects, or loose parts.
- Gently try to move the carriage left and right. It should move freely.
- If it’s stuck, do not force it—check for debris or misalignment.
- Reinstall Ink Cartridges
- Remove all cartridges.
- Inspect for ink buildup or debris.
- Reinstall them one by one, ensuring each clicks into place.
- Clean and Lubricate the Carriage Rod
- Use a lint-free cloth with distilled water or isopropyl alcohol.
- Gently clean the metal rod that the carriage slides on.
- Manually move the carriage to ensure smooth movement.
- Semi-Full Reset (Factory Reset)
- Unplug the printer.
- Press and hold # and 3 on the keypad.
- While holding, plug in the power cord.
- Release when the printer powers on.
- If that doesn’t work, try again with # and 6.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
