I just bought the HP Smart Tank 515 Wireless recently. There is some issue with the printing, so I send to the HP shop to fix it, the staff manages to solve the printing BUT The printhead so reluctantly moves to the center, he tried 10 or more times to open and close the flap door, but the printhead still doesn't move to the center, in the end, he has to use "force" to pull the printhead to the middle. Eventually, I was told that this is a "common" problem for all Ink Tank series, which is supposed to be "hard" for the printhead to move to the center "automatically" and it is common that we will have to use some "force" to pull the printhead to the center manually. But how frequent is that supposed to be??? Doesn't that's going to cause damage to the printer if using "force" persistently?
So does that mean that I will be having hard time changing my printhead "all the time" and very frequently? It sounds quite ridiculous, if that is the case, I would say this is a very very bad product. Giving the customer a hard time just to replace the printhead, so troublesome.

Hi @cmc_sha
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.
The carriage only moves if the printer is in a printhead error state. If the carriage does not move to the center of the printer when you open the printhead access door, the printheads do not need to be replaced. Replace printheads only when instructed to by error messages on the printer software, control panel, or HP Smart app.
you may refer to this document for more info on replacing the printheads. If there is a printhead error, kindly follow the steps from this document.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
