Reseat the Printhead:
- The printhead needs to be removed and inserted again to ensure a proper electrical connection between the printhead and the carriage assembly.
- If reseating the printhead does not resolve the issue, the printhead and/or carriage may need to be cleaned.
- For cleaning, refer to the Carriage Interconnect Wiper procedure in your printer's manual.
Recover the Printhead:
- Recovering the printhead(s) means that the printer automatically cleans and tests the printhead(s).
- To perform printhead recovery:
- Press Enter on the front panel.
- Use the ↑ or ↓ keys to select “Recover printheads”.
- Press Enter and follow the on-screen instructions.
Replace the Printhead:
- If reseating and recovering the printhead do not resolve the error, you may need to replace the affected printhead with a new one.
- Follow the printhead removal procedure and insert the new printhead as instructed in your printer's manual.
Check Drop-Detector Calibration:
- There could be a problem with the drop-detector calibration.
- To re-calibrate, tap the Settings icon, then System tools > Calibrations > Drop-detector calibration.
- Follow the instructions on the front panel to complete the calibration process.
