Hi @Neufeldmusic

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I'm sorry you're running into this issue—when your printer displays a Printhead Error Code 62:80:13, especially on a model with a non-user-replaceable printhead, it can be concerning.

That specific error typically points to an internal problem with the printhead's function or communication with the printer.

Here’s what you can do next:

Step 1: Restart the Printer

Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power outlet.

Wait 60 seconds.

Plug it back in and power it on.

Check if the error clears.

Sometimes, this simple step can resolve temporary glitches with the printhead sensors.

Step 2: Update Firmware (if accessible)

If the printer still responds to controls:

Open the HP Smart app or go to your printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) using its IP address.

Look for a firmware update under Settings > Printer Maintenance.

Apply any updates available, then restart the printer.

Step 3: Check for Obstructions

Even if the printhead isn't removable, gently open the ink access area:

Look for any paper jams, ink spills, or foreign objects.

Do not touch the printhead or carriage mechanism—just a visual inspection is enough.

Let me know your printer model if you’d like model-specific instructions or links.
