Hi @countrygirl312,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I'd like to help!

I understand you are receiving a printhead problem.

Try the below the suggestions -

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Try the steps in the document --Error Indicates Faulty Printhead

If the issue persists, I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

That did not work. And it's plugged into the wall outlet.

I had even cleaned the printer ink heads and it still pops up with that message.

I think what's happening is when I go to print something., I hear the printer trying to move the Printhead. I think it gets stuck when I shut it off in the right corner. Can I oil it? Or what to help it move?

HP Recommended

You cannot oil the printer.

I recommend you reach the HP Support for replacemet/ service options.

Hope this helps!
