I have a photosmart 7520. Being some months that e print is not working anymore, yesterday I decided to investigate deeper. Lots of post suggested to enter engineering menu and perform a partial-full reset and I did it. Pls note that 1 minute before doing this I regularly printed 1 sheet. After this operations the printer worked for 15 mins during which I struggled to associate again Wi-Fi network (btw why this printer takes so long to associate a Wi-Fi network and often says is not possible even if the password is correct???). Anyway after these 15 mins the printer gave me the error “
printhead appears to be missing, not detected or incorrectly installed”
no way to remove it: I tried to clean cartdriges, remove and reseat printhead, do other resets … nothing. Now the printer is stuck. I use compatible cartridges and I don’t have anymore original SETUP one but I entered the engineering menu and enabled trade OOB to bypass this need (did I do everything is necessary?)
pls help me is not possible that in 10 mins the printer moved from working correctly to not working at all!!! I don’t want to change printer for this

@Simone451, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand you are not able to print due to this error. Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - Printhead errors
Insert one ink cartridge at a time and check for the error.
Reset the printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
If this does not help, unplug the power cable and hold the power button down for 10-15 seconds and release it. Power on the printer and check.
If the printer is stuck on this error, we cannot perform any resets. I'm afraid it is a hardware failure.
If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.
