HP Officejet 6600
macOS 10.12 Sierra

After about 3 months downtime, I opened my printer (HP Officejet 6600), installed new color ink cartridges, and tried printing a page. Ink levels are all OK (new color, and black is 1/3 full). I tried the cleaning printheads routine to Level 3 several times, but the test page only prints a short column at the top of the page for each color...and no text or other parts of the test page. What is the next step?

hi David449,  are you able to print a doc after this step?

printheads should not be blocking up after only 3 months...sounds like there is another issue here. What type of cartridges are they?

Went thru the clean printheads steps (3 levels) several times, and could not print a document afterward. The final cleaniing step printed a page with six colored boxes across the top, but nothing like the sample page that is supposed to print out . I suspect the black ink print head is clogged...I can't print out a simple word doc.

New color cartridges from HP received on 4/15 (933XL -Magenta, Cyran, and Yellow) and a half-full original HP Black (932XL)
