I have asked about this problem a few times before. I have done everything that was told to do. The printing was fine, but now it is starting again. When I print 2 pages from my computer the printer sends out 3 pages. The third page will have maybe one line printed that will be from the bottom of the previous page. Or it could be the 2nd page. It varies. If I am printing say 5 pages every other page will be blank or have the one line printed at the top of the page. I have changed the paper to see if that is the problem. Didn't help. When I print on 110# cardstock I have no problem at all.

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

As I understand, the printer is printing an extra page during the printing process,
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
When was the last time it worked fine?
Were there any hardware/software changes made?
Does this happen while printing all the application or particular application?
Let's try these steps to resolve the issue:
Update the printer firmware: Follow steps from the link: Click here
Root level uninstall and reinstall printer drivers:
- Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP OfficeJet printer entries and uninstall them.
- Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
- Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
- Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
- Again, go to run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
To reinstall, click here
Print directly to the printer
Change the printer spooler option in printer properties to print directly to the printer.
-
Search Windows for devices and click Devices and Printers in the list of results.
-
In the list of installed programs, right-click your HP printer name, and then click Printer properties.
You might need to click the name of your printer.
-
Select the Advanced tab.
-
Select the option Print directly to the printer.
-
Click Apply, and then click OK.
Let me know how this goes,
Cheers!

Thank you so much for your help. I followed all of your instructions. I just did a print job and everything came out okay. The only part of your instructions I could not complete was the print directly to the printer option. That option was greyed out on the advanced tab. The spool print documents and start printing immediately where checked. I tried unchecking them to see if I could get to the print directly one, but it stayed greyed out. Hopefully the problem will stay corrected with having completed this step.
You have done an awesome job helping me with an irritating problem. Thank you again.
