I cannot print envelopes on my brand new HP 477dw laser jet printer using WordPerfect 8.  The guides for envelopes on this printer are in the center and apparently WP 8 requires the envelope to be fed from the far right side of the tray.  Without a left guide (leaving the guides in the letter 8.5/11 position) the envelope jams.

My husband has a 30 plus years of experience with WP8 (I prefer MS office products) and refuses to use other software.  I really need a fix for this---or I will have to return the printer and go back to Brother printers (yuk).

You might get better support if you find a user support group for WordPerfect. There is no reliable way to feed envelopes from the left, that is not how they are designed. Just to confirm you are setting both the printer tray settings and the job settings for envelope?  This page from Okidata support site might help https://okiprinting-en-us.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1283/~/addresses-do-not-line-up-on-en...
