Hi @judi3058,

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

As I understand, your printer is printing partially from Word and Excel.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

When was the last time it was working fine?

Were there any hardware/software changes?

Are you able to print using different applications?

Does this happen only in Word and Excel?

Please try these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

Download and Run HP Print and Scan Doctor: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

Uninstall and reinstall printer drivers:

  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP DeskJet printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  • Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
  • Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
  • Again, go to run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

To reinstall, click here.

If the issue persists, only in Excel and Word, suggest you uninstall and reinstall the program.

Have a great day 🙂

Cheers!

Hi @judi3058

It looks like you were interacting with Flower_Bud, but she is out for the day & I'll be glad to help you out. I'm KrazyToad & I'm at your service.

I see that you have already uninstalled the Printer Driver and reinstalled the Full Feature Software but the issue persists

I suggest we try using the Windows Built-In Driver to reinstall the Printer

First uninstall the Printer driver once again.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and Printer.

Then follow the instructions in this Video to reinstall the Printer using the Windows Built-In Driver.

In an attempt to uninstall HP Printer Driver an error message came up "uninstaller stopped working ...Windows will close program and notify you of a solution" however a solution never came but it continued the program to the end and it is now off...however when trying to uninstall software 9.0 it stopped again at 75 percent and gave same message but will not continue on.....what do I do?

Hi @judi3058,

I'm the Flower_Bud & I'm at your service.

I understand you're having issues while uninstalling printer drivers. Try only these steps to uninstall printer drivers:

  • Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
  • Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
  • Again, go to run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

Once completed, please disable UAC:

  • Open Control Panel
  • Go to the following path:
  • Control Panel\User Accounts and Family Safety\User Accounts
  • There you will find the Change User Account Control settings link. Click it.
  • Then reinstall printer drivers.

Alternatively, you can click the Start button to open the Start menu and type the following in the Search box:

uac s

Click 'Change User Account Control settings' in the search results:

In the User Account Control settings dialog, move the slider to the bottom (Never Notify):

Click OK. This will disable UAC.

If the issue still persists, please create a new user account. and then install Printer drivers.

Keep me posted,

Have a great day 🙂

Cheers!
