Hi @EDSRNS,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To resolve the issue of your HP DeskJet 4255e printing blank pages, despite having ink, cleaning the printheads could help. Here's how you can perform the cleaning.
Cleaning via HP Smart App
- Open the HP Smart App on your computer or mobile device.
- Select your printer from the app's home screen.
- Click on Printer Maintenance or Tools, depending on your app version.
- Choose Clean Printheads or a similar option.
The printer will perform a cleaning cycle, which may take a few minutes. You might need to run the cleaning process multiple times if the first cycle doesn’t fully resolve the issue.
Manual Cleaning from Printer Control Panel
If you don’t have the HP Smart app installed, you can try the following steps from the printer's control panel:
- Press the Setup button (usually a gear or wrench icon).
- Scroll to Maintenance and select it.
- Choose Clean Printhead.
Clean Printhead Manually
If the automatic cleaning doesn’t work, you can manually clean the printhead:
- Turn off the printer and open the printer's cartridge access door.
- Carefully remove the ink cartridges.
- Clean the electrical contacts of the cartridges and printhead with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
- Reinsert the cartridges and close the access door.
- Turn the printer back on and print a test page.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
