Hi, I'm Mr. Peruffo Francesco, owner of an HP photosmart b109-a printer purchased in 2010. I am writing to get information about a rather strange and annoying fact that happened to me, which prevents me from printing. A few weeks ago, I ran out of black ink cartridge and, after replacing it as usual, an ink error message appeared both on the printer display and on the PC monitor through the "HP Solution Center". The error message on the display reads: “Ink system error. 0xc19a0020 Please turn off and on the printer”. Turning the printer off and on several times, even doing a reset by unplugging the power cord for about two minutes, nothing happened and the error message returned. In the meantime, I noticed that it was beginning to not give me the presence of some colored cartridges and this was not restored even by cleaning the cartridge chip contacts. At this point I decide to replace all four cartridges with new chips and the problem of recognizing the cartridges is resolved but the one relating to the ink error message is not resolved. At this point, I decide to disassemble the print head to thoroughly clean it and the back contacts, but nothing changes. I decide to buy a new HP print head on ebay but, at the time of installation, the message "Print head not present or damaged" appears on the monitor, so it is not recognized by the printer. I reassemble the original head and the head is recognized together with the cartridges, but the ink error message persists. I uninstall the printer from the PC and install it again thinking I'm putting the most up-to-date drivers back in the PC, but nothing changes. Attached I send the photos of the current status of my blocked printer, to which I don't know what to do to unlock it since even touching the display to try to align and clean the head is inhibited. Currently only the scanner works. I therefore ask for your technical opinion on a possible solution to the problem with my printer, which has never given me any problems until a few weeks ago. I sincerely thank you for your availability towards me and I look forward to a kind reply. Sincerely. Francesco Peruffo.
