Is my HP Photosmart Printer Model C309a have the capability of printing from my iPhone?

In order to print from you iPhone the printer would need to support AirPrint or the HP Smart App.

 

Unfortunately, the C309A does not support AirPrint and the HP Smart App does not support that printer.

 

Apple maintains a list of printers that support AirPrint.  You can see that here.

 

HP also has a document that shows what mobile solutions are supported by what printers.  You can check that out here.
