For months I have been dealing with not being able to use the maintenance tools, like aligning and cartridge cleaning.  A couple of months ago I called service.  Was told that printer is out of warranty, and that it needs to be worked on or replaced.  Recently, I developed a problem with my printer id number not being accepted by the wifi.

I went down and took the usb cable from my wife's printer, a hp2050.  I plugged it in, and now every function which had not been working now works, only now I am using a USB cable.  HP service department wanted to sell work, and never touched on the USB cable possibility.   Hope this helps someone else.

Hello

I am sorry to hear this experience. As per my understand  as the printe is working now with the USB connection. you can perform the reset on the printer and try to set up the printer on the wireless network.

This shpould help and ensure the firmware is updated on the printer.

As you have mentioned that the printer works fine. it is not a hardware releated issue.

for any other concern feel free to reach me out.

Thank you
