my HP Color Jet 1600 is properly set up to print on both sides but the print does not comeout in sequence.

 

might I need a driver update   OR could it have something to do with Windows 10 update?

HP Color LaserJet 1600 Printer

 

Your printer is not directly supported in Windows 10.

 

You can try adding the Windows driver for the printer using "Add a Printer".

 

Remember to click the little "Windows Update" button to refresh the printer list.

 

 

 

Left column: HP

Right column:  HP Color Laserjet 1600 Class Driver

If the "duplex" option was working previously and no longer works, check to ensure the "duplex" feature is enabled.

 

Duplex feature installed?

Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers >

Right-Click Printer > Printer Properties > tab Device Settings >

Under Installable Options > Automatic Duplexing Unit > Select / Verify Installed > OK
