HP Photosmart Plus 209a-m

Hi,

I have prepared 4x6 note cards in word. Unfortunately I am having no luck in printing them. When printing I am selecting my custom size 4x6. If I feed the cards into the bottom paper tray they do not feed into the printer. When I load them into the top paper tray they feed into the printer and nothing prints on them. Interestingly, I was able to get the bottom tray to work when I indicated the print size as 4X8 envelopes but the print was very off center.

Help please I have put a lot of work into these cards and they will be a very valuable study tool for me.

Thanks

Based on the incomplete information I can find, this may not work.

The Specifications are particluarly vague about "cards" -- Media type "card" is listed but there is  nothing about paper size for the "card" Media type (kind of paper).

There is no mention of the unit supporting Index Card Media.

The (Windows) software is too old to support Custom Paper Sizes.

Finally, regardless of all else, "card" is not supported in the ADF.

Try:

Media Type = Card

Page Size = 4x6

Source = Tray 1

OR

The printer supports 4x6 photo paper.

Buy some HP photo paper 4x6 and use that.

Be aware:

There are two photo papers in this size type.

  • 4x6 inch photo paper
  • 4x6 "tabbed" photo paper

"tabbed" photo paper is actually 4x6.5 inches and includes the 1/2 inch "tear tab" at one end.
