Printer is designed to print on supported paper.
Should be fine.
The expected long term results are the same as for any other supported use:
- The printer may get dirty and need maintenance,
- As the printer ages, the rollers might eventually have more trouble grabbing and guiding the paper,
- The firmware might need to be updated,
- The printer software might need to be reloaded if / when it is corrupted or becomes outdated.

HP "card" Index type paper is typically supported to 200 gsm (110 lb).
Whether it is called "thick" or "Index" is not as important as whether paper and the gsm / lb weight is supported.
