Early 2016 MacBook, Catalina 10.15.7 - I tried to print Friday on an HP OfficeJet 6500 Wireless E709n. It failed to print, and the HP print queue had the message “One or more components of the HP printing software are corrupted or missing. The print job cannot be completed. To fix this situation, HP recommends reinstalling the print driver software.” The printer worked on Thursday. I downloaded HP Easy Start, but it said HP did not have drivers for my printer. I restarted Easy Start and used it to uninstall HP software. I went to support.hp.com and it led me to Mac Printer Driver 5.1 which I downloaded. It shows a release date of August 4, 2020, but the actual disk image says created and modified in 2017. When I tried to open the install package, I received a message that the package was signed with a certificate that has expired. I had the installation continue. The printer still does not print and gives the same error message. Help, please?

Someone in another thread posted that Apple did a temporary fix and posted this link with descriptions. Both my MacBook which I unsuccessfully tried to uninstall and reinstall drivers on and my iMac which I did not make any changes are now able to print.
