Im unable to print. I have no idea why this started now, have been printing without problems for years. Suddently all prints appear on print queue but dissappear without printing and ALL SOLUTIONS FOUND HERE HAVE FAILED.

Event logs show interesting thing (using Google translate since original is in Finnish):
Faulting application name: printfilterpipelinesvc.exe, version: 10.0.19041.4355, timestamp: 0x93990f06

Please do NOT give me general stupid comments that do not work, I have tryed everything I can possibly find in this forum and nothing works, for example:
- Yes, I know there is "HP Print and Scan Doctor" app that should fix the problems...IT DOES NOT! (everything is fine according to it, yet the test print does not print LOL)
- Yes, I know some say its something do with temp-folder having wrong permissions...IT IS NOT!
- Yes, I know some say clear the files from SPOOL directory...DOES NOT HELP!
- Yes, I know some say reinstall printer etc...DOES NOT HELP!

So what to do? What is that error? How to fix it and get back to printing?

PS. Funny thing is, that once at the end of HP install, there was an option to click "print test page" and I did and it worked! However, ever since I try to print test page using Windows dialogues, it fails as anything else.

PPS. I manually removed printers from Windows with 3rd party tool, removed all HP drivers, rebooted, turned on the printer and IT WORKED enought to print a testpage. But scanner did not work, because there where no drivers, so I turned Windows Update to download needed drivers and it did so, three different drivers total. Then scanner worked - but printer no longer worked again!!!

It downloaded and installed:
- HP - Image 63.4.6719.0
- Hewlett-Packard - USB - 6/1/2018 12:00:00 AM - 46.2.2631.18152
- HP - Printer - 6/1/2018 12:00:00 AM - 26.106.1.6932

Ofcourse I could go throught the trouble of removing all the drivers and rebooting, but it would again just download the drivers again from Windows Update and we would be back to nothing again. And no, Im not turning off Windows Update or device/drivers update because of this, because it actually usually downloads needed drivers for stuff.

Hi @mmmj,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with printing on your printer.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, I'm here to help you today.

Please follow the steps below to fix the issue.

A) Perform a power drain.

1) Take out the cartridges

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges

B) Kindly refer to the steps on this link to update the printer firmware and let me know if that resolves the issue.

C) If the issue still persists, Uninstall the printer software from your device and restart the devices.

D) Install the printer full feature software or HP smart app by clicking on the link again and let me know if that resolves the issue.

Note: Enable Bluetooth for an HP Smart app setup: Enable Bluetooth on your computer or mobile device so that HP Smart can detect the printer during the setup.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day

Hi and thank for contacting me.

A) Did it, but it did not work.

B) Firmware was already updated, reupdated, did not work/solve the problem. However, when I clicked the firmware updater to print the test page after the update, the test page printed, but still nothing else prints, not even from settings - print test page.

C) Done that many times, does not work. Did it again, did not work.

D) Done that many times, does not work. Did it again, did not work.

No Bluetooth, no way to test HP smart app.
