After many connection problems I finally managed to get one of my laptops to print by wi fi. Only problem now is if I'm printing multiple pages the printer will only print the first page and the red light on the printer screen under the 'resume' button flashes, I tap the button and the remaining pages print ok. I'm hesitant to fiddle about too much in case I end up back at square one again.

Hi @Angliaspur
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your printer is experiencing a common issue where it pauses after the first page. Here are some steps to troubleshoot this problem without risking your connection:
1. Check Printer Settings:
- Ensure that your printer settings are configured correctly in your print dialog. Sometimes, settings related to print quality or paper type can affect the printing process.
2. Update Printer Drivers:
- Make sure you have the latest drivers for your HP Envy 5532. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.
3. Restart Print Spooler (Windows only):
- If you’re using Windows, restarting the print spooler can help:
- Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
- Type services.msc and press Enter.
- Find Print Spooler, right-click it, and select Restart.
4. Change Print Settings:
- In the print settings, try changing the print quality from "Best" to "Normal" or "Draft" to see if that helps with the issue.
5. Reset Printer:
- Power off the printer, unplug it, and wait for about a minute. Then plug it back in and turn it on.
6. Check for Paper Jams:
- Ensure there are no paper jams or issues with the paper feed. Even small bits of paper can cause the printer to pause.
7. Use a Different Connection:
- If you're able to connect via USB temporarily, you can try printing multiple pages that way to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if it's a Wi-Fi issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Many thanks for your advice. I tried logging in the HP website to check the driver situation and came up against an Error 404 Server Error. Tried powering down and up again without success. Printer settings in Print Dialogue.... not sure where to find that. In the end I'm happy to let it run as it is rather than possibly upset the connection again. At least if we all know to press the button after the first page that's ok.
