I have several Officejet Pro 8210 printers.
There is a problem that only 953XL cartridge is recognized, but not the 955XL cartridge.
Based on the information found on the HP website, the 953XL and 955XL cartridges are only regionally different.
Please help me to use the 955XL cartridge I purchased with my 8210 printer.
1. My printer is connected using a printer USB cable to the computer.
2. I have the printer full feature software installed on your computer.
3. I have all the cartridges 953XL cartridges and 955XL cartridges.

Hi @KHcoffee
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.
Below are the compatible ink cartridges according to the region.
If the printer and the ink cartridges were bought in different regions, it may not work.
HP customizes some printers and ink cartridges to meet local customer needs. If you take your printer from one country/region to another country/region, you might not find ink cartridges with the same number on the label as your original ink cartridges. If you install an ink cartridge with a different number on the label, you might see one of the following error messages:
-
Incompatible Cartridges
-
Cartridge Not Intended for this Printer
-
Incorrect Cartridges
We will have to perform a region reset on the printer. For more info, refer to this document.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi, KUMAR0307.
Thank you for your reply.
I understand what you said.
And I visited the link you gave me(here) and followed the step.
Unfortunately I couldn't complete to change region of my printer becasue the warranty was expired.
I'm unhappy with that but thanks for your help.
Have a nice day!

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
Keep me posted.
Cheers 🙂
