OK, here are some more combinations:
- Duplex printing with paper sizes other than letter or A4 (no card sizes, envelopes, or legal size).
- Duplex printing with borderless printing
- Duplex printing with Photo paper, Other Inkjet Paper, Index Card or other specialty media.
That is all the others I notice looking through the drivers gpd file (found in C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3 folder), look for "InvalidCombination".

Which setting was changed? Certain combinations of driver settings are not allowed:
- Two sided printing is not compatible with photo paper or transparency media. This is due to the amount of ink required for photo paper and the probability of smearing as the page is pulled back into the printer to print the back side. For transparency media it would just not make sense to print on both sides....
- Draft mode is not available with photo media. It would not make sense to print on expensive media with a draft print mode.
- Edge to edge printing is not compatible with plain paper. Plain paper may cockle or curl if printed without borders. This could cause paper jams as the cockled paper could hit the printhead.
- Edge to edge printing is only available for certain media sizes.
There are likely other cases I am not remembering at the moment, but you get the idea.

Hi Bob, thank's for your input, you have now given me an idea of the kind of problem I should be looking for. However, I would be grateful if you think of other reasons that this might be happening you could drop me a line. Thanking you in anticipation.

Hi Bob, thank you for your further input. I have sorted the problem but I will retain your information for the future. The problem was the conflict, borderless on with A4.
Once again thank you so much for your help.
