If your printer displays the error message "There is a problem with the printer or ink system" and you have already tried the basic troubleshooting steps, you can follow the detailed steps below to resolve the issue.

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting:

1. Power Cycle the Printer:

  1. Turn the printer off using the power button.
  2. Wait for about 10 seconds, then turn the printer back on.

2. Ensure the Printer is Level:

  1. Place a small round object (such as a marble or ball) on top of the printer.
  2. Ensure the object does not roll away or rolls to the back and left, indicating the printer is level.
  3. Adjust the printer's position if necessary.

3. Check Printer Supplies and Ink Cartridges:

  1. Open the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) by typing the printer’s IP address into a web browser.
  2. Check the status of the printer supplies.
  3. Remove any supplies that indicate an error. If any feel low or empty, replace them with new supplies.
  4. Reinsert the supplies that do not feel low or empty.

4. Replace All Supplies:

  1. If the error persists, remove all supplies from the printer.
  2. Replace all the supplies with new cartridges.

Hope this helps!
