Hi Shaina251
If you see a symbol on your HP All-in-One 2800 Series printer indicating an issue and pressing the information button prints a troubleshooting page, it suggests a connection problem or a fault in the printer setup. Let’s go through some steps to identify and resolve the issue:
1. Check Printer’s Network Connection
- Wi-Fi Connectivity: Ensure your printer is connected to the same network as your computer or mobile device. Go to the printer’s control panel, navigate to Network/Wireless Settings, and ensure it's connected.
2. Power Cycle the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
3. Reboot Your Router
- Unplug your router from the power source.
- Wait for 30 seconds.
- Plug it back in and wait for it to fully restart.
4. Use the HP Smart App
- Download HP Smart App: Ensure you have the HP Smart App installed on your computer or mobile device. If not, download it from HP Smart.
- Login and Troubleshoot: Open the app, ensure your printer is listed and connected. If not, follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer.
- The app can help diagnose and resolve connectivity issues.
5. Reinstall Printer Drivers
- On your computer, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Select your HP All-in-One 2800 Series and click the Remove button.
- Visit HP’s official drivers page and download the latest drivers for your HP All-in-One 2800 Series.
- Install the drivers and add the printer back to Printers & Scanners.
6. Clear Print Queue
- If there’s a stuck document, it can cause issues.
- On Windows: Open Devices and Printers, select your printer, and open the queue to delete any stuck print jobs.
- On Mac: Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and manage the queue.
7. Reset Printer to Factory Settings
- Go to the Setup menu on your printer.
- Navigate to Printer Maintenance > Restore Defaults.
- Confirm the action and reconfigure the settings.
8. Check for Firmware Updates
- Ensure your printer has the latest firmware. You can check for updates through the HP Smart App or by visiting HP's support page.
If these steps do not resolve the symbol issue, consider reaching out to HP support for further assistance.
I hope the above is helpful
