Bought today. Set up going well until we tried to photocopy a second sheet. First one was fine. Turned original over and placed back on screen, pushed button but the sheet feeds through and comes out blank. Have tried many times but can't get it to copy. Ideas and suggestions very welcome - thank you!

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
As I understand you have issues copying via the HP DeskJet 3636 AIO Printer,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Did you clean the scanner & the ADF rollers?
Have you changed the copy settings?
While you respond to that, I recommend you follow the below steps:
Step 1: Clean the scanner
Fingerprints, smudges, dust, or debris on the scanner glass, under the scanner lid, or in the document feed slot can cause lines and color bands. Clean these parts with a soft, lint-free cloth sprayed with glass cleaner.
Read one of the following sections for steps to clean these components, depending on your printer type.
Step 2: Clean the ADF rollers
Dust or paper residue on the rollers or separator pad inside the automatic document feeder (ADF) can result in copy quality issues. Open the ADF, and then clean the ADF rollers and separator pad.
Step 3: Change the copy settings
Changing the copy settings, if available, might improve copy quality. Not all printers have the option to change copy quality settings, and some printers have more or fewer quality options. For specific steps, refer to the printer user guide on HP.com.
-
On the printer control panel, touch or press the Copy button or icon.
-
Touch or press the Settings icon or button, if necessary, then navigate to the Quality or Optimization setting.
If either setting is not available, skip to the next step.
-
Change any of the following settings to improve copy quality.
-
Reduce/Enlarge: Reduce or enlarge the size of the copy.

Brilliant - thank you for your full and clear response.
All sorted now. I think that although the first sheet had copied fine, we'd evidently not completed the set up correctly as once we'd been back over your steps, everything worked normally and we've had no problems since.
Very many thanks,
Morels
