Hi,
I was using the above printer on Windows 7 OS by dowloading the Driver for the HP Deskjet 990c, and this worked fine.
After I had upgraded to Windows 10, I was not able to find the printer listed in Printer & Devices.
The icon shows up fine (as HP990c) but when I try to print, it just comes up with an error message.
The ironical part is that I have a HPDekjet 1220c, which is a much older printer, and that has been added as a new printer successfully and prints fine.
Any guidance you can give will be much appreciated.

Go into Control Panel and select Devices and Printers
Right click the icon for your 6122 and click the remove
choice.
Once it is removed, select "add a printer"
then click the blue text that says "my printer isn't shown".
There will be several choices - click the bottom circle
then choose the USB001port from the list of ports
(2nd from bottom?)
Under brand - Choose HP and then from the right column
select the Deskjet 990C driver.
Click the "replace the existing driver" if the choice is offered
It will let you name the printer so you can change it so it
doesn't appear on yout printer list as a Deskjet 990C.
Print the test page.
This worked on my machine. Hope it works for you.
