HP Envy 7640
macOS 10.15 Catalina

I can't send jobs to the printer.  Two notifications appear on my iMac Desktop:

"ProductimprovementStudy.hptask" will damage your computer. Report malware to Apple...."

"HPDeviceMonitoring.framework" will damage your computer. Report malware to Apple...."

I ran antivirus software and no malware was detected.

A google search indicates that other users have experienced this problem. For example:

What is the solution?

What do you mean it doesn't allow you to do that?

Can you get into the Printers & Scanners section?

Can you select the device?

Can you hit the minus button at the bottom of the list?

Is there a "lock" in the lower left of the screen that needs to be unlocked?

This may be an HP driver issue.

The solution is to download (and install) this package which will update drivers AND THE CERTIFICATE:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/hp-printer-essen...

Easy Admin did nothing. Easy Startup did nothing. 5.1 drivers did nothing. This worked for me!

Sorry for the double post!

I downloaded the package and installed it. I still get the same warning notifications, and now my iMac can't find my printer.

Same for me.   That file was of no help whatsoever.

Did you uninstall your device through System Preferences/Printers & Scanners?

HP Recommended

I tried, but Systems Preferences etc. does not allow me to do that. Also, I can't open the HP Utility.
