HP ENVY 5055 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I recently moved and my printer was in storage for about 3 months. I got it out and set it up and now it's acting strangely. My HP Envy 5000 All-in-One will randomly, throughout the day print one or two line symbols or letters. I have deleted apps and drivers, redownloaded software, restarted printer, restarted computer, etc. It will print what I ask it to print, but every once in a while, like 2-3 times a day, I get other print jobs with words and/or symbols on it. It's wasting paper and ink and it's just annoying! Please help!! Thank you.

Random words and symbols are usually caused by wrong driver being used. If you are using the wireless function it is possible that someone is accidently sending print jobs.

If my printer is connected through my internet, wouldn't that keep others from trying to use it? If not, how do I solve the problem of someone else trying to print to my printer?
