Hi, our problem is that the print and scan doctor requires admin rights under win 10 since the last update from windows. Clicking right and selecting "...as administrator" on the icon doesen't brought the solution. Even starting the Computer as administrator doesn't work, the printer apears still as offline even though it is not! You can't bring Win10 to find the printer, in my case an officejet 4658, as online. All printing orders stuck in the pool. Looking for your answer for this is very annoying. Thank you.

@FAJ01, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand the app is asking for admin rights. Have you tried reinstalling the app after checking for any pending Windows updates?

Also, this is a diagnostics tool. It is not required to print or scan.

Restart the wireless router, the printer, and the PC

Use the HP Smart app to print and scan from your Win 10 PC

Click here to download and know more about the app.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
