I have a HP Envy 5530 - same issue - can no longer print anything (any document type) from my Chromebook. Every job gives a 'filter failed' message.

Thanks for the suggestion. I loaded the extension successfully bit I am still getting the 'filter failed' message on all attempts to print.

I have HP printers both at school and at home.  I connect by USB to them with my Acer Chromebook and have had no problem printing until yesterday.  I began receiving "filter failed" errors at school, so I brought the Chromebook home.  I am receiving the same message here, though, and I have tried several different document types.  Any ideas?
