I have made all the checks and print head cleaning as per manual. I also disconnected printer and restarted after couple of minutes.

However, i'm yet not able to have print with "yellow" color. It prints 'light' orange shade. This was not the case when printer was new (I baught about a year ago).

Because there is no proper 'yellow', even lilght green is not getting printed. The colors are not as what it looks on screen on my laptop.

Kindly suggest the solution.

Thank you for joining HP Forums.

I understand that your printer has a print quality issue, need not worry I'll be happy to assist you.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Are you using genuine HP ink cartridge?

Is copy working fine with Color?

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps on your own?

However, I suggest you do a Hard Reset

(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.

(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.

(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.

Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Then, Check the print settings for your print job in Windows and try printing in best mode.

  1. In the software application, you are trying to print from, click File, and then click Print.

    The Print window opens.

  2. Open the Properties dialog box.

Depending on the software application, the button might be Properties, Options, Printer Setup, Printer, or Preferences.

  3. Depending on your print job, you might consider modifying the following settings:

    • Paper Type: If you are printing on photo paper, select the type of photo paper you are attempting to print on.

    • Print Quality: If you are dissatisfied with the quality of your printouts, increase the print quality. To print more quickly, decrease the print quality. These options typically include Best, Normal, and Draft modes.

    • Paper Size: If you are printing on a different size of paper than you normally print on, select the correct paper size.

    • Black and White: If you want to print in black and white only, select the grayscale option.

  4. After selecting the print settings, click OK to apply the settings, and then click Print.

Keep me posted, how it goes! However, I'll try and follow up in next 24 to 48 hours to doublecheck on the issue.
