I have the exact same issue. Have spoken to apple , hp and network provider none can fix it. It first happens with hp 6432e. My dad has same printer and he is having same issue. We use iPhones and same network provider - I think it is an hp issue as a result of iOS 17. If ho don’t resolve it soon I will be asking for a refund as I can’t print so printer is redundant!

Hi @Vixter30,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing connectivity issues between your iPhone and your HP ENVY 6055 printer, causing printing problems and multiple print jobs. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:
1. Check Printer and Network Connection
Verify Wi-Fi Connection:
- Ensure that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone. If the connection is unstable, it can cause the printer to drop off the network.
Restart Devices:
- Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Router: Restart your Wi-Fi router by unplugging it for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in.
- iPhone: Restart your iPhone to reset its network connections.
2. Update Printer Firmware and HP Smart App
Update Printer Firmware:
- Although you mentioned not having a computer, if you have access to another device like a tablet or a friend's computer, you might be able to update the firmware using the HP Smart app.
Update HP Smart App:
- Ensure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed on your iPhone. Check the App Store for any updates.
3. Reconfigure Printer Settings
Forget and Reconnect Wi-Fi:
- On your printer’s control panel, go to the Wi-Fi settings, forget your current network, and reconnect to it. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
Re-add the Printer:
- Open the HP Smart app on your iPhone, go to the printer setup, and remove your printer from the app. Then, re-add the printer by following the setup instructions in the app.
4. Print Directly from Printer’s Control Panel
- Print Test Page:
- Try printing a test page or configuration page directly from the printer’s control panel to ensure the printer itself is functioning correctly.
5. Check for Network Interference
Reduce Interference:
- Ensure there are no physical obstructions or interference between your printer and Wi-Fi router. Electronic devices or thick walls can affect the signal strength.
Use a Different Network Band:
- If your router supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, try connecting your printer to the other band. Sometimes, switching bands can resolve connectivity issues.
6. Reinstall HP Smart App:
- Delete the HP Smart app from your iPhone and reinstall it from the App Store. This can help resolve any issues related to app functionality.
7. Check Printer’s IP Address:
- Ensure that your printer’s IP address is correct and matches the one configured in your HP Smart app. You can usually find the IP address in the printer’s network settings menu.
8. Use Apple AirPrint:
- Since you’re using an iPhone, make sure your printer supports AirPrint and is configured properly. AirPrint should work directly if the printer is correctly connected to the network.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
